I am finding your storyline not only boring and unbelievable, but as per the latest bit I received, of an unacceptably american and modern money orientated attitude: Why would an shaman from the amazon, - who must have a great and lifelong experience in supporting his people in the jungle with his special skills - follow an american to america, because he is told that there are "cowboys and hot dogs" ??????? I'm inclined to be somewhat lenient with Bruno. He spent a large part of this youth in Paris, so he may have missed a little bit the development concering the most popular cousine over there in the United States. Possibly, Horatio wouldn't have been so fond of ChickenMCNuggests (or BigMacs, for that matter) anyway, because, after all, for the fast food chain producing that stuff his home, the Amazon jungle was already being deforested-if he had been cognizant of that. Othewise, it would have been a irony, being lured into the United States by a product for which one's own home is being demolished. What is left then? Pizza? BLT?

Be it as it may - anyway, hotdogs and cowboys are a little outdated if someone wants to make a point for an easily satisfied person to move to the United States. Bruno should have brought up Chicken McNuggets and Hollywood celebrities instead - if anything.

Are you kidding ? I agree the first lessons are quite simple, but they introduce the characters. Wait a little and you'll see that the content of the lessons will become more and more complex (grammar, vocabulary, oral comprehension...)
And personally, if I wanted real stories, I would read newspapers or the like. ;)

For me you make the point with that, Dwight. An online method must be present day written, it's the least. And even if I read that hot dogs are still hip in the US, Mc Nuggets would be more representative of our days. Hence more "modern money orientated attitude" inevitably.

Hi too Katrin, The aim of these lessons is to improve our grammar and vocabulary in English, not to relate a story in Agatha Christie's style... As far as I'm concerned, I memorize better stories a little bit zany and that's the reason why I appreciate Gymglish ! Nice day to you.
