I don't understand why "sound" is a mistake here :
"Whoop! Whoop! That's the sound of the police! Whoop! Whoop! That's the sound of the beast!" (Answer by Gymglish : "This sentence uses the term 'sound' as a noun, to describe the 'noise' made by the police")

  • In the exercise, you had to choose the sentences which used the
ADJECTIVE "sound" correctly, and with the same meaning.
In the phrase you quote, "sound" is a noun, not an adjective.
