how to choose the correct verb betwen two verbs one in singular and the other one in plural both in the same sentence example of sentence is this: the student and the teachers are/is in meeting


  • I think it is in this case "are" the right form. Because the subjects here are "the student" and "the teachers", since we couldn't have two verbs, we use then the plural form.
