so he must pay for the tickets in/by cash.

In the lesson "Hannah Helps a Stranger" I can read, "Kevin bought tickets for the theatre. Unfortunately, his credit card was rejected, so he must pay for the tickets in cash." I consider that in this tense there a mistake because the correct expression is "so he must pay for the tickets by cash (not 'in' cash!)" What do you think?

  • Hello Augusto,
According to WordReference (online dictionary), the right expression is " to pay in cash"
    ( have a look here : http://www.wordreference.com/enfr/cash ).

    Best regards,
