English Grammar

make the coffee doesn't sound right to me!?!

Every morning, when she arrives at work, Polly (does or makes) the coffee.
Correct answer: ...., Polly makes the coffee.
I thought: correct would be: make coffee (without the)
That's why I choose:
Polly does the coffee.
Thanks for feedback

  • It's a matter of context
    Specific or not?
Specific: she makes the coffee (Morning, end of meal)
    Unspecified: she makes coffee
Wonderful English grammar but isn't it the same in French?
    Regards
