Yo, Steve can you get me sum of that Laundry Detergent?
  • Hi! I came here to learn French, but thought I'd chime in here since I'm an American. Laundry Detergent is simply the liquid you put into the washing machine to wash your clothing. (It can also be in a non-liquid form-- more of a powder). Tide is one of the best known American brands if you know it. The expression "never while high on laundry detergent" is, I am assuming, something you read in a book? It is a funny, unusual sentence-- not any sort of common expression. (In fact, it made me laugh out loud!). I suppose it COULD mean drugs, but it could also simply mean the light-headed feeling you get when smelling chemicals. Curious where you saw this expression?
