English Grammar

« approval » or « approved »

Hello everyone here,
I’d love to know which expression is correct and why :
There’s been « approval » or « approved » ?

Excerpt: And most of them stock either Kalvin Krime or Grevelon, so I can only assume that there's been approval from the distributors.

Many thanks for your help.
Li

  • "Approval" is correct here, because a subject is needed in this construction, and "approval" is the one. Were you using "there's been approved", you'd need another noun to explain what has been approved.
