good/well

This sentence occured in the last "Funky Friday":


"The date is going really well: I want to see Betty again!".


I learned to use the verb "to be" only with an adjective so in this case the term "good" should have been used.

  • But this is the verb 'to go', not the verb 'to be': we 'go slowly' or 'go quickly', and a date 'goes well'!
