About the allocation of qualification for the London paralypic games, I can't translate in French the word SLOT in this sentense:
the qualification slot is allocated to the NPC not to the individual athlete or team (npc= national paralympic comite)

As it is about the number of athletes cleared to take part in a competition, I for one would tranlate slot by "place".
There are 3 slots for that team.
Il y a 3 places pour cette équipe.
La place de qualification est attribuée au Comité national paralympique, non à l'athléte individuel ou à l'équipe.
